When decorating your home, it’s not uncommon to have one or two blank walls that leave you puzzled. You don’t really know what to do with them, but you do know that those barren spaces are driving you crazy. So what are you waiting for? Flaunt your unique and classy choice in art by decorating those empty spaces with this Tribal mask.
The craft that dazzles in your eyes!
This beautiful mask is given a refine and detailed treatment in the traditional Dhokra method, which is being crafted with the ancient Dhokra technique, a laborious lost wax process practiced by the tribal communities. First, a model is sculpted of clay and dried in the sun; it is then covered with beeswax and more clay, forming a mold. The piece is cast, cleaned, and again dried in the sun. Finally, it is heated in the ground for five days and polished and the final figure comes out with some exquisite carvings.
This intricate art form consists of 12 tough stages to get into its final leg which makes it one of the most valuable artifacts.
